Overview

As a Business Development Executive at North West News Group, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities in the advertising sector. You will be responsible for selling advertising space across our print and digital platforms, building relationships with clients, and understanding their needs to deliver effective advertising solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Market Research & Analysis

■ Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.

■ Analyse competitor offerings and market positioning to inform strategy.

 

Client Acquisition

■ Identify and target new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.

■ Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.

 

Sales Strategy Development

■ Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective sales strategies and promotional materials.

■ Develop tailored advertising proposals that meet client needs.

 

Relationship Management

■ Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

■ Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and support.

 

Sales Presentations & Negotiation

■ Present advertising solutions to clients using compelling sales presentations.

■ Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize revenue.

 

Collaboration with Internal Teams

■ Work closely with editorial, marketing, and production teams to ensure client campaigns are executed effectively.

■ Coordinate with the finance team to manage billing and payment processes.

 

Performance Tracking & Reporting

■ Track sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.

■ Analyse campaign performance and gather client feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

■ Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

■ Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in media or advertising.

■ Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

■ Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

■ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
