Machine Shop Technician – evening & night shift
Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, the Machine Shop Technician will provide technical support across shifts to optimise
equipment performance and maintain tooling to ensure high quality precision polymer extrusion.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, flexible and responsive to changing production demands.
This position will suit individuals who are focused on technical solutions, problem solving and continuous improvement.
We are seeking applicants who meet the following essential criteria:
- Time served/qualified engineering technician
- Experience in the use of lathes, mills and general workshop equipment to a high standard
- Experience in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment in a production environment
- Computer literate
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Experience of working to high tolerances i.e. one ten thousandths of an inch
- Previous polymer extrusion and solid works experience would be beneficial
Current Phase 7 apprentices may be considered.
Machine Operatives - evening & night shift
Our Machine Operatives make specialised polymer tubing for use in high-end applications such as medical devices and airplanes.
These roles require the hands-on operation of production equipment, process monitoring and quality focus.
We are looking for talented individuals who will have the ability to:
- Successfully operate production/extrusion equipment
- Find solutions in real time
- Ensure exacting specifications are met
- Be flexible and respond quickly to changing process requirements
- Have high levels of attention to detail and knowledge retention
These roles will suit individuals who can work permanent night (12am-8am) and evening (4pm-12am) shifts.
