Maintenance Fitter

We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team on a permanent basis to help us implement improved maintenance practices and procedures.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

As Maintenance Fitter you will provide the necessary skills to ensure that the mechanical and electrical maintenance for all operational activities is carried out. You will oversee all planned and preventative maintenance in accordance with the maintenance plans; you will be responsible for completing daily inspections including identification, reporting and rectification of faults to reduce break downs and improve plant reliability. The ideal candidate will work alongside production staff to ensure efficient plant output is maintained and fully comply with all health and safety requirements including maintaining accurate records and documentation.

 

Essential Criteria

Applicants must as a minimum, meet all the essential eligibility criteria listed below:

  • NVQ Level 3 or other equivalent Level 3 qualification in one of the following professional and technical training areas – Automotive, Electrical, Engineering and 1 year industrial, experience post Level 3 qualification OR
  • NVQ Level 2 or other equivalent Level 2 qualification in Automotive OR Engineering and 3 years industrial, experience post Level 2 qualification;
  • GCSE Maths and English Language or equivalent
  • Competent ability to use IT
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria

• A relevant Health & Safety qualification.
