Job Description

The Lighthouse Project is a partnership project between Fermanagh Women's Aid (FWA) and Omagh Women's Aid (OWA) designed to provide trauma informed support for young people subjected to

domestic abuse. The project aims to harness their expertise to strengthen community responses through a series of workshops and social media videos.

Omagh Women’s Aid are recruiting for

Young Person’s Support Worker- Lighthouse Project

Key purpose:

The Young Person’s Support Worker will be responsible for the development and implementation of a one-to-one support service to young people who have been subjected to domestic violence and through collaboration with young people to co design and co facilitate workshops for young people.

 

Contract:             4 years

Salary:                  £25 409 per annum (plus on-call retainer fee paid)

Hours:                37.5 hours per week including some after school/evening and some weekend work

Essential criteria:

  1. Minimum of degree in Social Work or a Level 3 qualification in or another relevant subject.
  2. Demonstrated skill in working with service users.
  3. 1 years’ experience working directly with young people.
  4. Ability to participate in on-call rota.
