Our Story
NWNG is a long-established media institution in the North-West of Ireland, with roots dating back to 1901 when we published our first news title, the Ulster Herald. Today, we stand as one of the country's leading independently owned media groups, with a diverse portfolio of brands and a comprehensive service offering across traditional media, digital communication, advertising, and marketing.
NWNG publishes six weekly newspapers, including the Fermanagh Herald, Donegal News, Strabane Chronicle and Tyrone Herald which are distributed across Fermanagh, Donegal, and Tyrone. In addition, we publish the province-wide digital sports title Gaelic Life. The group also operates a number of thriving online news platforms that serve our local communities. We deliver an extensive events calendar that includes the highly successful Fermanagh Business Awards and the Gaelic Life Ulster Club All-Stars.
In December 2020, we expanded our reach by adding Kaizen to the NWNG family, extending our expertise in print, branding, and digital development. This was followed in 2022 by the launch of My Ireland Jobs, a dynamic digital recruitment platform. We also strengthened our presence through 4SM (NI), which produces leading industry B2B magazines such as Export & Freight Magazine and Plant & Civil Engineer Magazine, along with hosting industry awards and golf events.
